About RotoBiz
The What
RotoBiz launched to provide coverage of news, commentary, product launch, and job market info flowing through the business of fantasy sports and data-related gaming.
The Why
The fantasy sports market is at a crossroads. Market consolidation, real-life labor disagreements, a maturing user base, and rapid technology changes are making a once high-growth industry more of a challenge in which to compete. The way to beat a business problem is with more access information and innovation. Providing industry leaders, established businesses, and startups with the right data and tools for success in the fantasy sports industry are the goals of RotoBiz.
The Who

-
Randy built a fantasy league system for the now-defunct Pre Pro Sports and a fantasy sports CMS for College Fantasy Football Insider.
His current side-project is a Rails-based open source league management system called Score.
Working as a freelance web developer with skills in .NET, PHP, Rails, SQL Server, MySQL, and Drupal pays the bills (and, yes, he's for hire). On the side, he's keeping tabs on the business of fantasy sports.

Randy Burgess

-
Back in the day, Don built a combo college + pro fantasy football league system with the XOOPS platform. He got creative and moved it to a Drupal platform last year.
His current side-project is a Rails-based open source league management system named Score.
By day, Don works as a project management expert for Drupal-based developments (he's for hire, as well). By night, he wears sunglasses and tuxedos almost exclusively.
